My Line Rider? hum… Are you curious enough to know why I chose that name?. Good, then keep reading.
I have two reasons. The first one is the online game/toy known as LineRider (www.linerider.com) that appeared on the web about a year ago. With LineRider you have to draw lines to decide how the virtual sledder travels through the lines. You can make little slopes and take little risks - boring - or you can make ramps, hills, jumps, and more to make it more interesting. Greater risks = greater satisfaction.
Life is like a line rider. You can go through it in a straight line with little slopes and variations, but probably noting interesting will happen in your life. Or you can take action and explore new ideas, concepts and different ways to do things and take some risks and make it much more rewarding. LineRider inspired me and I hope it can inspire you.
The other reason is Einstein. Yeap, I am refering to Albert Einstein. A few months ago I read the book Einstein: His Life and Universe by Walter Isaacson. In it Isaacson described that Einstein thought about the theory of relativity while imaging riding a light beam. Hence he refers to Einstein, in chapter one, as the Light-Beam Rider. At that time I was thinking on starting this blog and I already registered the domain name “MyLinerider.com”. I got a lot of inspiration from this book and from the life of Einstein, so the name is also a homage to him.
